I'm Sabrina Kimball, co-founder of Universal Changing Places. Universal Changing Places began in 2015 after my son, Greyson, and I experienced firsthand the lack of accessible public restrooms for people who require assistance with personal care. Our mission is to make public restrooms more accessible for people with disabilities and those who require assistance with personal care, enhancing ADA-compliant facilities to ensure dignity, safety, and independence for all.

Universal Changing Places began as a grassroots movement inspired by Changing-Places UK, which started in 2006 to address the needs of individuals requiring specialized facilities. Their model has spread globally, and Changing Places facilities are now established in the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Austria, Norway, and Canada. Advocacy efforts continue in many other countries, making this a growing international movement.
