What Is a Universal Changing Place (UCP)?
A Universal Changing Place (aka Universal Changing Station) is a family/companion care restroom designed for individuals who need additional space, specialized equipment, or assistance with personal care. It includes a powered height-adjustable adult changing table and other accessibility features that provide dignity, safety, and comfort for people of all ages and abilities.
Universal Changing Places help people participate more fully in their communities by making public spaces welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.

Universal Changing Places exists to raise awareness of the need for powered height-adjustable adult changing tables in Family/Companion Care Restrooms for people who are non-ambulatory or require assistance with personal care, promoting dignity, accessibility, and inclusion in public spaces.
